Reminders
You get a reminder when you have plants in Tasks that need attention. Reminders work locally on your device, so no account or internet connection is required. You can choose what time of day notifications arrive, and you can add two notification times if you want reminders in the morning and evening.
Reminders require Kasvia to have notification permission and the plant to have a watering schedule.
On Android, notifications may require extra steps, such as allowing exact alarms and disabling battery optimisation for Kasvia. You can find more information in Kasvia settings under Menu → Notifications. On Android, it is normal for notifications to arrive a few minutes before or after the configured time.

Common questions
Notifications are not working. What should I do?
First, make sure notifications are turned on and permissions have been granted. In Kasvia, go to Settings → Notifications. You can send yourself a test notification with the button at the bottom of the page. If the test notification works, the issue is not with permissions. If you use an Android device, make sure you have allowed exact alarms and turned off battery-saving features for Kasvia in the 'Make notifications more reliable' section of the settings. You can see scheduled notifications from the 'Show scheduled notifications' button below your notification times. If that list is empty, make sure you have at least one plant with a watering schedule set.
Can I choose what time of day reminders arrive?
Yes. In Settings → Notifications, tap Add Notification Time to set one or more daily times. You can add multiple times if you want reminders in the morning and again in the evening.
How do I test if notifications are working?
In Settings → Notifications, tap Test Notification. A test notification will arrive in about 5 seconds.
On Android, my reminders are unreliable. What can I do?
Android can aggressively restrict background apps. In Settings → Notifications, look for the Battery Optimisation and Exact Alarms prompts and follow the steps to allow Kasvia to run reliably. Both are needed for consistent notification delivery on most Android devices.
